Pros react to Jon Jones controversial UFC 247 win: “Embarrassing”
UFC 247 went down in Houston, Texas Last night. While there were several intriguing fights, none was more so than the main event, in which UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones put his belt on the line against undefeated Dominick Reyes. The challenger started off strongly in the first two rounds, but the champion slowly began taking over, and ended up winning a close decision. However the fight was tightly contested, and the reaction of many was that Jones may have have received some assistance from the judges to win the UFC 247 main event.

While UFC fighters like Sam Alvey and Diego Sanchez were quick to dispute the decision, calling it a “robbery” and “embarrassing”, all did not feel that way. Jones’ old nemesis Daniel Cormier dismissed the robbery claims, saying that the decision could have gone to either fighter. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson congratulated both men on a fantastic fight, hailing Reyes as a future UFC champion.
