Paddy Pimblett Ready for a Comeback! – Responds to Challenges Post-UFC 300

"I'm the guy to beat" - Pimblett

Pimblett’s Reaction to UFC 300 Challenges

After his display at UFC 300, Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is brimming with opportunities to step back into the octagon. Post-event, two fighters, fresh off their victories, called him out. The first was Bobby Green, who secured a decision victory over Jim Miller. Not far behind in expressing his interest was Renato Moicano, who claimed a submission win at the event.

In a recent YouTube video, Pimblett addressed the challenges starting with Green, saying, “Bobby Green was shouting my name into the mic. Not surprising, you know? He might be ranked, but he’s got no followers; he needs me. Just like everyone else, they want to fight me because they know I’m the guy to beat. Bobby Green is an option. If Bobby wants to fight, I’m ready.”

The Ultimate Fighter: Pimblett vs. Moicano?

While Green presents a viable challenge, Pimblett seems more intrigued by the prospect of facing Moicano, especially in a unique format. “I’d rather fight Moicano. Where are you, Renato? I don’t even dislike Renato Moicano. I actually like him. He’s a fun guy. He’s cool. So, a fight with him would be enjoyable. The build-up would be very, very fun. I think it’d be even more fun if Renato and I did a season of The Ultimate Fighter,” Pimblett shared. “That would be six, seven, eight weeks of pure comedy for the fans. So, I would love that, to be honest. And I’d rather jump straight into the top 10 than beat someone in the 15th spot.”

Future Plans for Pimblett

Looking ahead, Pimblett is targeting a fight at the upcoming event in Manchester, England, on July 27th. The Liverpool-born fighter, who improved his UFC record to 5-0 after defeating Tony Ferguson by decision, is keen on climbing the ranks. “But next for me is hopefully someone in the top 15. I don’t want to fight downward. I want to try and fight upward, I want to get ranked,” Pimblett stated.
