Mark Hunt has been involved in a lawsuit against the UFC since January 2017, and now it’s over. The court ruled in favor of the UFC, Hunt’s former employers, and “The Super Samoan” went on a profanity-laced tirade on his Instagram

“I tried to make things even on the battlefield of Mma but again the cheating company @danawhite@ufc with all its billions they ripped everyone off win again someone will die against a steroid using cheater and your shit rip off company will be at fault @ufc,” Mark Hunt wrote.

Mark Hunt lawsuit against the UFC

Hunt’s lawsuit against the UFC is actually also against UFC President Dana White and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

Hunt battled Lesnar at UFC 200 in July 2016, losing an unanimous decision after three rounds. It didn’t take long before controversy arose regarding the bout, and six days after the event, it was revealed that Lesnar had tested positive for estrogen blocker clomiphene.

USADA would later announce that Lesnar had tested positive twice for clomiphene, and his bout was changed to a “no contest.”

Hunt sought a big compensation from the UFC and claimed that the UFC and Lesnar had worked together to evade United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) ahead of the event.

When the UFC did not pay Hunt, the New Zealand martial arts veteran filed a lawsuit, claiming loss of money and missed opportunities because of Lesnar.

Hunt would fight five times after UFC 200, losing four bouts and finishing on a three-bout losing streak.
