MMA Community Reacts To Georges St-Pierre Vacating The Middleweight Title
Georges St-Pierre vacated the UFC middleweight title last evening and gave up the title he won just a little over four weeks ago at UFC 217.
Interim champion Robert Whittaker will now take on former champion Luke Rockhold to unify the title at UFC 221 in Perth on Feb. 10.
Here’s how the world responded to the news that St-Pierre was relinquishing his belt:

GSP vacates. That’s a real martial artist. Way to not stall the division. Best of luck bro! A win over #3 Jacare puts me next in line for the title shot ?

What comes next for St-Pierre? Only time will tell and it’s fair to say that a big determinant will be the severity of his ulcerative colitis.
For the minute at least, the UFC middleweight title is now back in the mix and arguably being fought for by the best fighters in the division.
