Jorge Masvidal GOES OFF on Leon Edwards: “I’m going to murder that guy”

✅ Contender Jorge Masvidal still has nothing good to say about bitter Rival Leon Edwards since their back stage altercation ✅ "Some f*cking bug..."

While never officially booked to face each other, Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards have enough animosity that one would think so. After their back stage altercation at UFC London earlier this year, which saw Masvidal deliver several strikes to a confrontational Edwards, talk of a fight has circulated.

However, Masvidal went on to face and brutally knockout out Ben Askren, reaching super stardom. Edwards has still been clamouring for a fight, but Masvidal has his sights set on the title as of now. As a guest fighter at this weekends UFC Uruguay, Masvidal opened up concerning Edwards – and things certainly haven’t gotten better between these two rivals.

“I’m going to kick his ass. It’s not going to be on his terms or whenever the fuck he wants,” Masvidal said when speaking to MMA Fighting. “It will always be on mine and that’s what bothers him so much inside. He’s going to look at this interview or people are going to call him and tell him, you’re a fucking nobody. I run this show.

“You listen to me when I say I’m going to kick your fucking ass, I’ll kick your fucking ass.”

Masvidal clarified that he has no qualms about facing Edwards, but that it simply needs to happen in due time. He has his sights set on the title, though his friend and team mate Colby Covington (former interim champion), is ahead of him in line. He said it would take a substantial paycheck to solidify a bout between them, but that he would “mop the floor” with Edwards when they finally collide.

“I’m going to murder that guy when we fight,” Masvidal said. “He’s a scrub. You are a scrub Leon and you fucking know it and the fight will take place when the fuck I say so.

“So sit there and eat that fucking words. I’m going to break that guy’s face.”

With Covington lined up to face reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, the UFC may very well have to see what Masvidal’s terms are. If this grudge is to be settled, the time surely would be sooner rather than later.
