Bobby Green Out of UFC 222, Search Underway for New Opponent for Beneil Dariush

UFC 222 takes another hit, this time on the preliminary card with Bobby Green being force out of his fight with Beneil Dariush

Another change has been made to the upcoming UFC 222 card on March 3 as Bobby Green has been forced out of his upcoming bout against Beneil Dariush.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Wednesday following an initial report from Farah Hannoun on Twitter.

It’s an unfortunate twist for Green, who has been riddled with injuries throughout his UFC career but he was attempting to back-to-back fights inside of three months after picking up a win over Erik Koch in January. Unfortunately, Green will now have to wait until a later date in 2018 to make his return to action.

As for Dariush, the search is underway to find him a new opponent so that he can remain on the card just over two weeks away in Las Vegas.

UFC 222 will be headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight as Cris Cyborg takes on Yana Kunitskaya while the co-main event features a featherweight title eliminator between Frankie Edgar and Brian Ortega.
