Alexa Grasso Faces Tatiana Suarez, 4 More Bouts Confirmed for UFC Event in Chile

The first ever UFC event in Chile is coming together with five fights announced by the promotion on Monday

The UFC will be heading to Chile for the first time ever this year with a UFC Fight Night event planned for May 19 from the Movistar Arena in Santiago.

With the announcement of the card come the first five fights confirmed for the event including a showdown between top strawweight prospect Alexa Grasso who will meet former “Ultimate Fighter” winner Tatiana Suarez in matchup at 115 pounds.

Grasso has gone 2-1 through the very early part of her UFC career while Suarez has looked absolutely dominant with two straight victories after competing on the reality show.

In addition to that matchup, Chile native Diego Rivas will get a home fight as he takes on Guido Cannetti at bantamweight.

Vicente Luque will take on Canadian striker Chad Laprise in a battle of former “Ultimate Fighter” competitors while former Legacy Fighting Championships flyweight champion Andrea Lee will make her highly anticipated debut against Veronica Macedo.

The final bout announced on Tuesday is another women’s matchup as Poliana Botelho takes on Syuri Kondo.

The main event for the card has not yet been determined but the UFC is expected to make more announcements for the event in Chile in the coming weeks.
