Dos Santos vs. Ivanov Official as All Fighters Make Weight at UFC Fight Night in Idaho

Former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will make his long awaited return against Blagoy Ivanov after all of the fighters competing at UFC Fight Night in Idaho made weight on Friday

UFC Fight Night in Boise, Idaho is official after all of the fighters on the card made weight during Friday’s weigh-ins.

Former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will make his long awaited return to the Octagon after he was forced to sit out dealing with a doping infraction through USADA — a charge where he was later exonerated.

Now dos Santos is ready to reclaim his spot in the heavyweight rankings when he takes on newcomer Blagoy Ivanov, who comes to the UFC off five straight wins including victories over Octagon veterans Shawn Jordan and Josh Copeland.

Dos Santos came into the fight at 247.5 pounds while Ivanov was at 257.5 pounds as they clash in the heavyweight main event.

Elsewhere on the card, Sage Northcutt returns to welterweight where he will look to get his first win in the division after a pair of losses. Northcutt weighed exactly 170 pounds while his opponent Zak Ottow came in at 171 pounds.

Also one more interesting note on the card — former three-time title contender Chad Mendes makes his return to the Octagon after two years away when he meets Myles Jury on Saturday night. Mendes came in at 146 pounds for the fight and Jury was identical at 146 pound as well.
