Conor McGregor sends surprising message to Cowboy

✅ Cowboy posts impressive resume - Conor McGregor responds immediately!

Conor McGregor has made a name for himself as a highly talented but cocky fighter that likes to play mind games and disrespect his opponents.

So when it was announced that “The Notorious” McGregor is going to take on Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone on Jan. 18 at UFC 246, many were wondering how McGregor would approach his next rival.

When Cerrone posted his impressive resume on Instagram, everyone got a taste of what we can expect of the trash talk ahead of McGregor vs. Cowboy.

Don’t miss: Jorge Masvidal calls out Nick Diaz: “He has to avenge his little brother”

“Let this Soak in! This will be my 51st MMA fight and I plan to add new numbers to all these list come January 18,”  Cerrone wrote.

I hold the all-time UFC record for wins with 23.

I hold the all-time UFC record for finishes with 16.

I hold the all-time UFC record for post-fight bonus awards with 18.

I hold the all-time UFC record in knockdowns with 20.

I hold the all-time UFC record with seven knockouts via kicks.

It did not take long before McGregor popped up in the comment section:

“Good man Donald, enjoy the Christmas dinner,” Conor McGregor commented on Cerrone’s post. Happy holidays to you and the family, from the McGregor’s here in Ireland. See you in 20/20 with bullseye vision.”

Compared to the way that McGregor approached his most recent opponents Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov, this is totally out of character for the Irishman.

Could this just be another way to McGregor to get under Cerrone’s skin, or do you think that McGregor and Cerrone has genuine respect for each other?
