Paul Craig vs Jim Crute Set For UFC Fight Night 142

Paul Craig will take on Jim Crute in Adelaide, Australia on December 2 at UFC Fight Night 142.

A light heavyweight bout is heading to Adelaide, Australia on Dec. 2 when Scottish fighter Paul Craig takes on Jim Crute at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Craig (10-2) is coming off the back of a dramatic win against Magomed Ankalaev last March when he pulled off a triangle submission at four minutes and 59-seconds of the third round to save his UFC career. Prior to his win at UFC London, Craig had lost twice in a row with defeats to first Tyson Pedro and then Khalil Rountree at UFC Glasgow putting him on a two fight skid. “Bearjew” kicked off his UFC career with a bang after defeating Brazilian fighter Luis Henrique de Silva via armbar submission in his UFC debut. Prior to entering the organization, the Scot reigned as the BAMMA light heavyweight champion and built up a record of 9-0.

Crute (8-0) enters the bout undefeated and is coming off the back of a win over Chris Birchier on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series which he won via first round TKO. Prior to earning his UFC contract, the Australian had built up a 7-0 record fight exclusively under the HEX Fight Series banner in Australia. Five of Crute’s eight wins have come inside the distance and Tapology have him ranked as the #2 Australian and New Zealand professional male light heavyweight.

Two other bouts have been comfirmed for UFC Fight Night 142 with Wilson Reis taking on Ben Nguyen and Kaiwhare Kara-France taking on Ashkan Mokhtarain.
