It’s UFC 218 fight week and on Saturday night, Max Holloway will defend his UFC featherweight title for the first time when he faces Jose Aldo in Detroit.
Holloway of course won the title back at UFC 212 when he defeated Aldo in front of his home fans in Brazil. The champion was then booked to face former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar this weekend, but when the challenger pulled out with a broken orbital bone, Aldo stepped up and the rematch was set.
Also this weekend, a mouth watering heavyweight contest between Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou features in the co-main slot.
The Ultimate Fighter season 26 coaches Justin Gaethje and Eddie Alvarez also meet on the main card.
