Eryk Anders Lays Down The Challenge To David Branch For UFC On Fox 28

Eryk Anders wasted little time laying down the challenge to David Branch following his defeat to Lyoto Machida

Eryk Anders was barely an hour departed from his loss to Lyoto Machida at UFC Fight Night Belem, but already he was ready to lay down the gauntlet to another UFC middleweight.

Speaking at the UFC Fight Night Belem post-fight press conference, Anders laid out the challenge to David Branch who recently had his opponent Yoel Romero rebooked to fight Luke Rockhold at UFC 221 for an interim UFC middleweight world title.

“You know I’m healthy, I got no bumps, bruises or injuries or anything like that,” Anders said. “I know David Branch’s opponent got moved up to fight Rockhold, so if David Branch has been training and is still in shape and he still wants to get down in Orlando, I’d be more than happy to oblige him.”

UFC on Fox 28 takes place on February 24, 2018, at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The fight card is set to be headlined by a featherweight bout pitting Jeremy Stephens taking on Josh Emmett.

Branch (21-4), who was originally set to meet Romer in the main event, is coming off the back of a loss to Luke Rockhold in September last year. The UFC is yet to announce whether he has been replaced on the card or removed altogether.
