Weidman had a meteoric rise in the UFC, capturing the middleweight champion by dethroning Anderson Silva, and following up with title defences against Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort. Weidman lost his fourth titel defence against Luke Rockhold via vicious knockout, and would go on to get knocked out in his two following bouts against Yoel Romero and Gegard Mousasi. He would get a submission win against Kelvin Gastelum, but was then brutally knocked out in his latest bout with Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

Reyes is enjoying a similar ascent in his time in the UFC. He began with three straight finishes, over Jared Cannonier amongst others. The close fight went all three rounds, with Reyes coming out on top via a controversial split decision.
