Carlos Condit Expected to Face Matt Brown at UFC Fight Night in April

The long awaited welterweight matchup is set to go down in April

A highly anticipated welterweight showdown more than four years in the making is in the works as Carlos Condit is expected to meet Matt Brown at a UFC Fight Night card in April.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed that verbal agreements are in place for the fight for the event that has been rumored on April 14, although the UFC hasn’t officially announced a card for that night.

The two veteran welterweights were originally scheduled to meet back in 2013 at a UFC on FOX event in Sacramento but an injury to Brown’s back forced him off the card.

Sadly the UFC never moved to rebook the matchup so Condit and Brown both moved onto different fights in their careers.

Now is seems the UFC is ready to run it back again with Condit and Brown expected to meet in April as both fighters look to get a big win in the welterweight division.
