Jimmie Rivera, Marlon Moraes Official With All Fighters Making Weight for UFC in Utica
The first ever UFC card in Utica, New York is now set with all the fighters weighing in on Thursday morning ahead of the rare Friday night card.
Headliners Jimmie Rivera and Marlon Moraes both came in on weight as they prepare to clash in a pivotal matchup at 135 pounds.
Rivera has gone undefeated since joining the UFC roster and now he wants his shot at gold but first he has to get past Moraes, who is coming off two wins in a row including a jaw-dropping knockout against Aljamain Sterling.
In the co-main event, highly touted lightweight prospect Gregor Gillespie will look to stay undefeated in his career as he takes on Vinc Pichel.
On the preliminary card, former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ finalist Sijara Eubanks will make her first appearance since suffering a brutal weight cut that forced her out of the fight to determine the first ever UFC women’s flyweight champion.
Eubanks looked ready to go as she stepped onto the scale as she prepares to face fellow top five ranked flyweight Lauren Murphy in a bout that could have title implications on the line for the winner.
