Report: Jake Paul to box former UFC Champion Anderson Silva!

✔ "Jake Paul will almost certainly be the underdog. He knows that and he wants that!"

YouTube boxer Jake Paul is heading back to the ring and it is against another former UFC champion in Anderson “The Spider” Silva! Multiple sources have confirmed that the 25-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer will face off with the 47-year-old Brazilian in a Showtime PPV main event on October 29!

A few days ago, Paul stated that he would be making his comeback in October and that he would make “a massive opponent announcement this week”. Most Valuable Promotions wrote that Paul would take on an opponent that would make the young YouTuber an underdog. News reporter Keemstar also stated that the Paul vs Silva was going to be announced soon.

“Who you got? I’m literally hearing that this is going to be announced!”

“Jake Paul will almost certainly be the underdog. He knows that and he wants that.”

Paul vs Silva will mark Paul’s retur to the boxing ring after beginning his career with five straight wins. Paul knocked out the former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley in December 2021. Paul had already beat Woodley in August 2021 via split decision, after knocking out former MMA champion Ben Askren a couple of months prior. Paul has not competed in 2022 after bouts against Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. fell through.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion “The Spider” Silva parted ways with UFC in November 2020 after only winning one bout in his last nine outings. Silva later transitioned to boxing where he has found success, defeating Julio César Chávez Jr. and knocking out former UFC Champion Tito Ortiz. Silva also fought Bruno Machado in an exhibition bout in May 2022.

Paul vs Silva has been discussed for many months and is a fight that many fans have been asking for, claiming that the YouTuber never fought a striker. Silva is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the history of MMA and said in May that he was preparing his body for a challenge and gave props to both Jake and his older brother Logan Paul.

“It’s possible,” Silva said about fighting Jake Paul. “People need to respect the Paul brothers. Those kids are talented, and they’ve opened people’s eyes about the good and bad in combat sports. I’m preparing my body for a challenge. We’ll see what happens.”
