Norman Parke vs Myles Price Set For BRAVE 13 In Belfast
Brave Combat Federation announced earlier this month that they will host an event in Belfast, Northern Ireland for the first time in their history on June 9 and the card appears to be taking shape.
The promotion confirmed today that Norman Parke vs Myles Price will serve as the co-main event of the fight card taking place at the SSE Arena.
Parke (24-6-1 1NC) is coming off the back of a convincing unanimous decision victory over Polish fighter Luakasz Chlewicki earlier this month. Parke’s last three fights have come under the KSW banner where he’s challenged Mateusz Gamrot twice for the KSW lightweight title. The Northern Irishman lost the first bout via a unanimous decision, but the bout was shrouded in mild controversy after the Polish champion allegedly bit Parke during the second round. The two then rematched at KSW 41 in Dublin, Ireland, but again, there was controversy after a series of eye pokes by Gamrot led to the fight being ruled a no contest. The win over Chlewicki has put the wind back in Parke’s sails and he will no doubt be looking to continue his momentum at Brave 13.
In his way will be Price (10-6). The Irishman defeated Phil Raeburn this past weekend at BAMMA and came out of the bout unscathed.
Prior to that fight, the Team Ryano man last fought back in Feb. 2016 at BAMMA 24 when he defeated Mario Saeed via first round TKO. Price has been booked to fight Kane Mousah, Pedro Carlvalho and Philip Mulpeter since that fight, but all these bouts fizzled and he’s been left on the sidelines. The 29-year-old will now look to get his career back on track when he looks to fight twice in four weeks at BAMMA 35 and Brave 13.
