This is a huge fight for Jung, who faces his first former UFC champion since joining the promotion in 2011. His time in the UFC has been cut short by injuries and a mandatory military service in the the South Korean army. Since returning from military service he’s 2-1 in the UFC. He first knocked out Dennis Bermudez in the first round, then he fought Yair Rodriguez in an all time great fight that Jung was winning up until he was caught by an elbow with just seconds remaining of the fight. In his latest outing, he finished Renato Moicano in less than a minute in the first round.

Edgar makes a turnaround following a failed bid to capture the UFC featherweight title. After defeating Cub Swanson in a rematch at UFC Atlantic City last year, he challenged former champ Max Holloway for the title at UFC 240. As always, Edgar showed heart unlike any other, but he ended up losing via unanimous decision. He was scheduled to make his bantamweight debut but instead opted to replace an injured Biran Orteaga, first planned to face “The Korean Zombie”.
