By defeating Derek Brunson at UFC 271 on Saturday, Jared Cannonier may have finally secured the title shot that has eluded him thus far in his career. He screamed at Dana White during post fight interview demanding the a title shot after his impressive performance!
Cannonier (15-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) climbed over the hump with a second-round knockout over Brunson (23-8 MMA, 14-6 UFC) in a bout many considered as the table-setter for the next middleweight contender after falling short in title eliminators twice previously.At 4:29, the bout was stopped by a brutal flurry of elbows.
