Emil Meek vs Bartosz Fabinski Added To UFC Hamburg

The UFC Hamburg card is very quickly taking shape and a welterweight contest between Emil Weber Meek and Bartosz Fabinski has been added this morning.

Meek (9-3) is coming off the back of a loss to Kamaru Usman earlier this year in Jan. at UFC Fight Night 124. Prior to that fight, Meek had put together a four fight win streak that included a high profile victory over Rousimar Palhares at Venator FC 3 in 2016. The Norwegian fighter won his UFC debut against Jordan Mein back at UFC 206 in Dec. 2016, but then didn’t fight in 2017 at all after a string of injuries.

Speaking of injury setbacks, Fabinski (13-2) has not fought since Nov. 2015 and has been sidelined since. The Polish fighter is currently riding a four fight win streak that includes two victories in the UFC over Garreth McLellan and Hector Urbina. Fabinski will now look to return to action and continue his run of form in Germany on July 22.

UFC Hamburg will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout featuring Volkan Oezdemir and Mauricio ‘Showgun’ Rua.
