Report: Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder rematch set for February

✅ The much anticipated rematch now seems to have a date and location ✅ First fight ended in a controversial draw - both fighters still undefeated!

Undefeated Brit Tyson Fury is one of the most famous and highly regarded active boxers in the the current era of the sport. Last year he collided with American Deontay Wilder, also undefeated, in a high stakes fight that was seen by many as one that would establish the winner as the best heavyweight in the world.

Despite dominating much of the fight, Fury was dropped by a devastating shot toward the end of the fight, but managed to recover and go the distance. At the end the judges deemed the fight as a draw, which drew criticism from many in the community. Since then fans all over the world have hungered for the rematch – which now seems to be set.

Speaking at a Q&A event at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre Fury disclosed the details: February second in Las Vegas.

“The rematch has been confirmed and signed, 22 February,” said Fury, also revealing the location as the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. “It’s on, the rematch. This time I am going to knock him out.

“This time I haven’t been out the ring for three years, this time I haven’t been abusing too much alcohol.”

In his last outing Fury knocked out Tom Schwartz in an impressive, relatively one-sided performance. Before the rematch Wilder will also have to get past Luis Ortiz, on september 28th in Los Angeles, California.
